CAM Sports Mission

The mission of CAM Sports Academy is to foster the growth and passion for the game of basketball by providing an opportunity for student athletes to improve their basketball intelligence and skill level, while continuing develop socially, mentally, and spiritually as they prepare for enrollment in college.

About CSA Post Grad

The CAM Sports Academy Post Grad is a unique and exciting opportunity for motivated student-athletes who wish to enhance their athletic profile for future enrollment into a college or university.  Our academy post-grad team plays a competitive schedule against junior colleges, NAIA junior varsity teams, and regional post-grad programs, but our players do not use any of their eligibility.

CAM Sports Academy Post Grad was founded by Chris Cameron, a former college basketball head coach with  14 years of college coaching experience.  As the head coach at Albany State University, he won a conference championship and led his team to the NCAA National Tournament in his first season.  He also spent five years as an assistant coach at Albany State University and Xavier University of Louisiana.  While coaching in college, Cameron developed 11 all-conference performers, two Black College All-Americans, and three NCAA Division II All-South Region  performers.  Additionally, eight of his players have played basketball on the professional level.  More recently, three of Cameron's players are coaching on the college level and four are successful high school coaches.

Cameron played four years of professional basketball which landed him in Europe, Mexico, and in the United State in the International Basketball League (IBL). He was the Player of the Year in the Finnish Professional League in 1999 and led the San Luis Potosi Santos to the CIMEBA (top pro league in Mexico) to the leagues finals.  Cameron also played for four years at Tulane University.  He was considered one of the most exciting players ever to wear a Green Wave Jersey, He was known for his spectacular dunks and stingy defense. He earned several awards, including the team’s 1997 Defensive Player of the Year award and was a two-time member of the All-Defensive Team Conference USA. During his collegiate career, the Green Waves were ranked nationally and went to postseason championships each year.

Athletic & Personal Development

CAM Sports Academy is unique because we are staffed with trainers, former college players and coaches that take the time to teach our players how to succeed at the collegiate level.  We will focus on strength and conditioning that will help you improve your overall strength, speed, and agility; and  basketball-specific functional movement, advance basketball training and development, life skills that will help you build proficiency in practical competencies, character development, leadership skills and much more.

CAM Sports has built a great relationship with college coaches throughout the country for the last seven years.  Through our basketball showcases and recruiting assistance program, we have helped over 50 high school and junior college prospects signed to play college basketball.    CAM Sports Academy Post Grad team will get the best promotion from our staff as we try to find the right fit for our players.

Life Skills Program

CAM Sports Academy’s Life Skills Program is designed to help cultivate Student-Athletes during their transition period from high school to college. CAM Sports Academy’s Life Skills Program Staff implement the following methods in students’ lives in order for them to practice a more healthy, responsible, and independent lifestyle.

Rules & Standards

CAM Sports  Academy holds all of its players accountable with rules and standards that shall not be broken. Each player will be given a set of Rules and Standards that they must sign and return before arrival to the Academy. If Rules or Standards are broken, it is the decision of the CAM Sports Academy Management to dismiss the player from the Academy.

FULL PAYMENT

Commuter Program:  $5,000.00
5 Months Program: Scholarships available to all applicants based on athletic and academic ability.

ADDITIONAL STANDARD FEES / DEPOSITS

Non-Refundable Application Fee: $50.00
Non-Refundable Security Deposit: $250.00
Team Equipment Fee:  $250.00

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Admissions Portal is now open for 2022-2023 Applicants

• All Applications submitted after July 30th, 2022 are considered if space is available.

• Competition/Equipment Fee Includes CAM Sports Academy Uniform Set, CAM Sports Polo, Dri-Fit Shirts, Book Bag, & Travel Jumpsuit.

Pay Fees: Sixty percent of your fee should be paid by October 1st.  The remaining balance will be broken down into four monthly payments.
